1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing tickets, loading Earth Credits, submitting applications, or using any services provided by the Esirom Foundation ("we", "us") in connection with Earth Hour Jamaica 2027, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
2. Ticket Purchase & Entry
- All tickets are 100% digital and non-transferable. Each ticket is linked to the purchaser via a dynamic QR code.
- Tickets must be presented on a mobile device at the gate. Screenshots of QR codes will not be accepted as the codes rotate every 30 seconds.
- Re-entry is permitted via our scan-out / scan-in system. Attempting to share or duplicate tickets will result in denial of entry and forfeiture of the ticket without refund.
- Student discount tickets require upload and verification of a valid student ID during purchase. Fraudulent submissions will result in ticket cancellation.
- We reserve the right to deny entry to any person for safety or security reasons.
3. Earth Credits
- Earth Credits are a digital currency valid only at Earth Hour Jamaica 2027.
- 1 Earth Credit = $1 JMD. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash on-site.
- Unused Earth Credits may be refunded within 7 days after the event by submitting a request through our portal.
- Earth Credits are non-transferable between accounts or wristbands.
- The Esirom Foundation is not liable for lost or stolen wristbands. Report lost wristbands immediately for account protection.
4. Event Conduct
- Earth Hour Jamaica is a 100% plastic-free event. Bringing single-use plastics, styrofoam, or prohibited items (see FAQ) will result in confiscation at the gate.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
- Attendees must comply with all instructions from event staff, security, and volunteers.
- We reserve the right to remove any attendee whose behaviour endangers others, disrupts the event, or violates these terms.
- Professional recording equipment requires prior media accreditation.
5. Vendor Obligations
All approved vendors must adhere to the 100% Plastic-Free Vendor Policy. Vendors must digitally sign the Plastic-Free Agreement during the application process. Non-compliance during the event will result in immediate removal and forfeiture of vendor fees.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of the Esirom Foundation or its licensors. Personal photos and videos taken at the event may be shared on social media with credit to Earth Hour Jamaica. Commercial use requires written permission.
7. Assumption of Risk
Attendance at Earth Hour Jamaica is voluntary. Attendees assume all risks associated with attendance, including but not limited to weather conditions, physical terrain, noise exposure, and interaction with wildlife at the Hope Zoo petting area. The Esirom Foundation shall not be liable for personal injury or property damage except in cases of gross negligence.
8. Event Cancellation
In the event of cancellation due to force majeure (severe weather, government directive, or similar circumstances), ticket holders will receive a full refund or the option to transfer tickets to the rescheduled date. The Esirom Foundation is not liable for travel or accommodation costs.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kingston, Jamaica.
